Copperbelt Province, Kitwe, January 26, 2011
Copperbelt province is famous for mining activities. Despite the province being rich in mining activities, it has potential in agriculture and tourism, two key areas identified in Zambia’s DTIS. The province can diversify from mining activities to the mentioned other economic activities. Based on this economic potential for diversification, CUTS conducted a workshop under the project on the 26th of January 2011 in Kitwe. The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness about the opportunities on the EIF process to enable producers tap these opportunities and grab expansion through aid for trade initiatives.
