CUTS staff met with the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts, Mr. Fumba Chama, to explore exciting opportunities for collaboration aimed at strengthening youth engagement and advancing climate action in Zambia.

The discussions focused on key initiatives to empower young people, including:
- Transforming district youth centers into hubs for capacity-building and skills development.
- Partnering in annual awards to recognize and celebrate youth contributions to climate action.
- Implementing training programs and developing proposals to secure funding for youth-led projects.
The engagement underscored the importance of collaboration between civil society organizations and the government in equipping young people with the tools and opportunities to address climate challenges and promote sustainable development.
CUTS is eager to work alongside the ministry to drive meaningful change and create lasting impact for Zambia’s youth.
