In a bid to strengthen food safety and improve policy coordination within Zambia’s fruits and vegetables sector, CUTS International Lusaka convened an advocacy meeting with key government ministries on 24th June 2025 in Lusaka.
The meeting brought together stakeholders from across the value chain to address growing concerns around pesticide use, post-harvest handling, and market standards. The engagement served as a platform for ministries and sector partners to explore actionable solutions aimed at building a safer and more resilient food system.
CUTS with support from Solidaridad is implementing the Safe and Heathy Food, Safe and Healthy Zambia camaign aimed to increase publicawareness on importance of healthy diets and food safety in the fruits and vegetable value chain.
