From 26th to 27th October 2022, CUTS in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC) held a two-day training meeting for micro small and medium enterprises in Arusha.
Over 80 participants attended the training in Arusha, including MSMEs, Business chambers and Government officials. Small business owners from Tanzania and wider East Africa through the Africa Continental Free Trade area outlined the agreements characterizes, implementations mechanisms as well as potential opportunities available under the new single market.
Speaking at the training, CUTS board member Mr Sajeev Nair highlighted the importance of e-commerce platform for MSMES in Africa. He emphasized on the need for more digital innovations, inclusion and the need for small businesses in East Africa to participate in the digital market space.
