On 16th July 2025, CUTS staff featured on Radio Chimwemwe in Ndola, for a powerful live discussion under the theme “Debt and Its Impact on Social Sectors.”
The radio programme is part of our ongoing project, “Advocacy to Amplify Local Voices for Enhanced Sustainable Debt Management and Oversight,” supported by the Open Society Foundation (OSF).
CUTS staff engaged listeners on how Zambia’s public debt affects social sector spending, especially in health, education, and social protection, and highlighted the importance of community participation, transparency, and strong oversight in public financial management.
Through such platforms, CUTS continues to foster informed dialogue, strengthen civic engagement, and promote inclusive advocacy to ensure that no one is left behind in national development.
