UF youths trained in record keeping, financial management

July 02-03, 2025

Urban Futures youths, together with representatives from youth and women cooperatives in Chongwe, participated in a two-day Record-Keeping and Financial Management Training held at the AgriConnect Hub, under the Urban Futures Project, from 2nd July to 3rd July 2025.

The training was conducted in collaboration with Hematon Agro Services and focused on equipping participants with practical skills to strengthen their agribusiness ventures.

The sessions dived into agriculture as a business, explored sustainable farming approaches, and emphasized the importance of accurate record keeping in driving profitability and growth. A key highlight was the hands-on exercise on field record management, where participants practiced using Hematon Farm Record Books — tools they will now integrate into their day-to-day operations.

Participants left the training inspired and eager to apply what they learned, marking an important step in building youth-led, climate-smart, and resilient food systems in Chongwe.
